STAR WARS : THE FORCE AWAKENS
The movie “STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS” was made in 2015 and was released in December 18,2015 . This movie was the second biggest worldwide film opening since 2002. The movie takes place thirty years after the defeat of the Galactic Empire , and now in “THE FORCE AWAKENS” they face a new threat stronger than the Galactic Empire. In the new addition of the Star Wars series there are new characters as well first off we have the new villain Supreme Leader Snoak who is played by Andy Serkis . The second villain is Kylo Ren who is played by Adam Driver . These two villain are apart of the new threat called The First Order . Along new villains there are also two new heroes , who are Rey and Finn . Rey is played by Daisy Ridley and Finn is played by John Boyega and they fight against the First order . This movie had over 20 Nominees for the movie and its qualities .
A very important part of a movie besides the actors and story is cinematography . Cinematography is the camera angles,lighting,editing techniques, and sound used during a certain scene in the movie.There are many scenes where the cinematography is very helpful to the events taking place in the movie . For instances in the chase between rey and the first order in the millennium falcon the changed the view four times .The view from the cockpit of the aircraft to the zoomed out view and it gave a bird's eye of the fight . Then it would change to the pilots of the first order which helped give a good knowledge of Rey’s skills as a pilot . another example of cinematography is when the hologram of Supreme Leader Snoak is looked at for a lower view which gives the impression of god like or very powerfull. The final piece of cinematography is when Rey is walking down the hallway and finds luke’s lightsaber it starts off quite an then picks the volume of the theme music as she gets close to the lightsaber then when she has the lightsaber its cuts off and show memories of luke .
Now my favorite character of this movie would have to be Rey for a couple of reasons . The first reason is that she is very powerful with the force and has little training with it but advances ver
y quick with it . The second reason is that she has a great system of morals that she follows through the movie but can lose sight of it at times but quickly finds them . the last reason she is my favorite is that she has so much that isn't know about like what is her connection to force ? And who are her parents ? And is possible that kylo ren is her relative or brother ? but all these questions will be answered in the movie of the star wars series .
Overall I loved the film it was a great addition to the star wars series , and I would give it 5 star rating . I would also recommend the movie to all my friends and all those who are looking for a good sci-fi movie with good plot.I also consider this movie new and a step into a new era for star wars but one day it could be a classic to some students or adults . Being that the movie was so great i believe that the awards that the movie got they did deserve the all the awards .
